In a nail-biting finish, Seenivasa Sethupathy R, representing Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), clinched victory in the Tiruppattur constituency in Tamil Nadu Assembly by a mere one-vote lead over the state government's Minister of Co-operatives, KR Periyakaruppan.
TVK Emerges Victorious with Stellar Debut Performance Seenivasa Sethupathy R secured 83,375 votes, defeating his rival and marking a significant win for TVK, which managed to secure an impressive 108 seats in its electoral debut. The ruling DMK faced a setback, with its seat count dropping to 74 from the 159 seats it held in the 2021 elections. The AIADMK also saw a decrease in seats, wiing 47 compared to the 66 it secured previously.
