In a recent incident during the second T20I international between Pakistan and Australia, Green, who was dismissed by Tariq, was caught on camera mimicking the bowler's action. Tariq, playing only his third T20I match, has a distinctive bowling action that has raised eyebrows in the past.

Despite facing accusations of 'chucking' the ball, Tariq has been cleared of any wrongdoing on two occasions. In a show of support, Khawaja took to Instagram to defend Tariq, emphasizing the impact of being labeled a 'chucker' in cricket and urging for understanding and perspective.

Tariq has previously explained that a biological issue with his elbow hinders his ability to straighten it, leading to his unconventional bowling action. He underwent tests in Pakistan which confirmed the legitimacy of his action and cleared any doubts regarding his bowling technique.

Speaking about his experience, Tariq stated, "I was confident about my action because I know that I am not throwing," highlighting his dedication to the sport and adherence to the rules.
