Eminent Leaders Share Republic Day Messages Focused on Unity and Progress

From the northernmost state of Jammu and Kashmir to the southern tip of Kerala, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated with fervor and patriotism across India on Monday. Distinguished leaders from various states shared their messages emphasizing unity, diversity, and progress.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hailed the arrival of "a new dawn" in the union territory, promising justice for decades of suppressed pain and tears. He vowed to thoroughly investigate terrorism-related cases and ensure strict punishment for the guilty.

Meanwhile, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla urged the strengthening of peace and upholding the ideals of the Constitution to foster inclusive development and social justice.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin stressed the importance of preserving diversity, stating, "We must remain a country where cultures enrich one another, languages coexist with pride, and faith is a personal truth." He emphasized the strength of unity in diversity and called for celebrating a unified India, not a uniform one.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan cautioned against forces attempting to weaken the vision of "unity in diversity" and advocated for standing together to protect federalism and constitutional institutions from political interference.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the citizens of India as the true guardians of the Constitution. He emphasized the need to respect the spirit of the Constitution and honor the sacrifices of those who fought for the country's freedom.

On the other hand, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on the people to choose between "vote bank politics" and the development journey initiated by his government. He emphasized the importance of progress and protecting the state's identity, culture, and traditions from encroachment.
