The principal of PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School in Jawali is under scrutiny after a video surfaced depicting suspected mass copying during a Class 12 Board exam. The incident unfolded during a Biology exam at the school, triggering swift action from authorities.
Following the viral video, a lecturer-cum-central superintendent was promptly suspended, and disciplinary departmental proceedings were set in motion against the government school principal. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) launched a preliminary examination into the matter, supported by two incriminating video clips.
In response to the allegations, the Board swiftly ordered the relocation of the examination center to the nearby Government Senior Secondary School, Matlahar, for the remaining papers. The implicated individuals, including the suspended lecturer, will face repercussions under Rule 10(1) of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.
The PM SHRI (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) initiative, aimed at transforming government schools into model, green institutions aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizes modern infrastructure, digital learning, and child-centric education. The scandal at the Jawali center underscores the importance of upholding academic integrity and fostering a culture of fair examination practices.
