Activist Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Hunger Strike, Calls for Peace Amid Protests

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's declaration of a tough law against offenders, activist Sonam Wangchuk concluded his indefinite hunger strike in solidarity with the demands of the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar. The protest, which gained momentum with Wangchuk's fasting, ended late Thursday night at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
