Rahul Gandhi Urges Education Minister's Resignation Amid Student Protests

In the midst of escalating demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has emphasized the non-negotiable stance of protesting students on the matter. Gandhi asserted that merely shifting Pradhan to another ministry would not suffice, and that the students were adamant about his resignation.

Addressing the media following a meeting with the protesting students, Gandhi highlighted the discussions within Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet regarding the potential reassignment of Pradhan rather than his removal from the government altogether. Expressing disapproval of this approach, Gandhi emphasized that the students of India find such a solution unacceptable.

"There is going to be no conversation about Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan being moved here, moved there, put behind, forward, nothing. Dharmendra Pradhan has to be sacked," Gandhi stated unequivocally. Describing the minister as a symbol of corruption and failure within the education system, Gandhi underscored the detrimental impact Pradhan's leadership has had on the future of Indian students.

The ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, now in their second month, have been spearheaded by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Demands for Pradhan's resignation stem from allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in the administration of NEET and other entrance examinations.

Emphasizing the students' three non-negotiable demands, with the foremost being the removal of Pradhan from office, Gandhi reiterated the sentiment expressed by the protesting students.
