India's badminton stars PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen advanced to the quarterfinals at the Indonesia Masters Super 500 in Jakarta with impressive straight-games victories in the round of 16 on Thursday.

PV Sindhu, who recently achieved her 500th career singles win, defeated Denmark's Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt 21-19, 21-18 in a thrilling encounter lasting 43 minutes. This milestone makes her the sixth women's singles player globally to achieve this feat and the first Indian to do so.

After a strong start, Sindhu maintained her lead throughout the match, showcasing her resilience and skill. She will now face top seed Chen Yufei in the quarterfinals, setting the stage for an exciting clash.
