India and UAE Strengthen Ties with Strategic Defence and Energy Deals

India and the United Arab Emirates have solidified their partnership by signing crucial agreements on strategic defence cooperation, petroleum reserves, and the supply of liquefied petroleum gas. The significant pacts were confirmed by officials on Friday.

During talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condemnation of the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. "We condemn attacks on UAE. The way UAE has been targeted is not acceptable," PM Modi stated, emphasizing the importance of standing in solidarity with the UAE.

As part of his visit to Dubai, PM Modi oversaw the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between India and the UAE. The agreements encompassed areas such as strategic defence cooperation, petroleum reserves, and the supply of liquefied petroleum gas, as informed by officials.

Addressing the ongoing conflict in West Asia, PM Modi highlighted the global repercussions of the situation, emphasizing that "India is ready to extend all possible support to bring peace." The collaboration between India and the UAE aims to foster stability and strengthen ties between the two nations.
