Fire Breaks Out in Rajdhani Express AC Coach, Passengers Safe
Earlier today, a fire incident was reported in the B-1 coach of the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express while it was en route between Luni Richha (LNR) and Vikramgarh Alot (VMA) stations in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district. The train, numbered 12431, was ruing under the Kota Division of West Central Railway (WCR) zone.
Quick Response and Passenger Safety Measures Taken As soon as the fire was detected, the Overhead Equipment (OHE) supply was immediately cut off, and the affected coach was detached from the train. Railway officials, along with employees, swiftly initiated fire-fighting operations and provided refreshments to the passengers of the affected coach at the site.
Efforts to Ensure Smooth Journey for Passengers An additional coach will be attached at Kota station to ensure the onward journey of the passengers. Senior officers from the Kota Division have already headed to the site, and the situation is reported to be fully under control.
Investigation and Clearing of Train Routes The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, while efforts are being made to clear the train routes for other services. Train No. 12955 was detained at Mahidpur Road (MEP) temporarily, but the section is expected to be cleared shortly.

The train operates thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, making stops at 19 stations during its journey.
