Pakistan Navy Comes to the Rescue of Stranded Vessel in Arabian Sea
In a display of humanitarian aid and cooperation, the Pakistan Navy, in collaboration with the Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), extended assistance to a distressed Indian offshore tug and supply vessel, MV Gautam, stranded in the Arabian Sea en route from Oman to India.
The Rescue Operation
According to sources, the vessel encountered a technical fault, leaving its crew of six Indian nationals and one Indonesian in a precarious situation. The Pakistan Navy swiftly responded to the distress call, providing the stranded crew with essential support including food, medical aid, and technical assistance.
Ongoing Efforts
This recent rescue mission follows the Pakistan Navy's successful operation last month, where they rescued 18 crew members, including foreign nationals, from another distressed merchant vessel in the Arabian Sea. The Navy's prompt and effective response in such situations highlights their commitment to maritime safety and humanitarian assistance in the region.
