Addressing the second edition of the Joint Commanders’ Conference in Jaipur, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised Operation Sindoor as a remarkable feat that displayed India's growing capabilities and unwavering determination. The operation, conducted a year ago, was described by Singh as a "short-duration, deep-penetration, high-intensity, and high-impact operation."
Emphasizing the importance of staying prepared for future conflicts, Singh urged top military commanders to remain agile and forward-thinking. He highlighted the significance of enhancing capabilities in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, data analytics, and secure communication networks to tackle evolving geopolitical security challenges.
According to Singh, future wars will be shaped by hybrid threats, information dominance, and operations across various domains, including cyber, space, electromagnetic, and cognitive.
The Defence Minister underscored that victory in future conflicts will not solely rely on weaponry but on iovative strategies and enhanced coordination among different branches of the military. He stressed the need for cultivating an element of surprise to maintain an edge over adversaries and ensure national security.
During the conference, Singh released a documentary film on Operation Sindoor and the Joint Doctrine for Integrated Communication Architecture. These initiatives aim to bolster doctrinal clarity, interoperability, and integrated communications across the Armed Forces for future multidomain operations.
The conference, themed 'Military Capability in New Domains,' brought together top leadership from the Ministry of Defence and the Indian Armed Forces to discuss emerging security challenges and readiness for future warfare.
