Goa Police Bust Inter-State Prostitution Racket, Arrest Three in Raid
The Goa Police’s Crime Branch has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending three individuals involved in an inter-state prostitution racket and the operation of multiple escort service websites. The arrests were made following a raid conducted in response to a complaint filed against 22 websites accused of disseminating sexually explicit and objectionable content.
The accused have been identified as M V Narayan Rao (40) and Manjunath Shahshetty (36) from Karnataka, as well as Shahbaz Khan (33) from Bhopal. The trio was taken into custody from Nerul in Goa earlier this week. They have been remanded to police custody for three days as the investigation unfolds.
Additionally, the police have seized a cellphone belonging to the accused, which was found to be linked to the escort services advertised on the incriminated websites. This development marks a significant blow to the illicit activities of those involved in the exploitation of individuals for commercial gain.
