India's senior women's team is all set to embark on a thrilling journey as they prepare to tour Australia for a multi-format series. The action-packed series will kick off with a three-match T20I series commencing on 15th February.
The Women’s Selection Committee of the BCCI has unveiled the 15-member Indian team for the highly-anticipated One-off Test against Australia. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the squad in the Test set to take place at the prestigious Optus Stadium in Perth, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy.
Star players like Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma have also secured their spots in the Test squad. Additionally, rising talents such as 20-year-old Vaishnavi Sharma and World Cup star Pratika Rawal have been included in the red-ball team.
The multi-format series will feature a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series, with the one-off Test scheduled from 6th to 9th March. The series promises to be a riveting display of skill and sportsmanship between the two powerhouse teams.
Unfortunately, wicket-keeper G Kamalini has been ruled out of the Australia tour, leading to Uma Chetry being named as her replacement in both the T20I and ODI squads, serving as the backup keeper for the Test.
Meanwhile, India 'A' team will showcase their talents in the Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup 2026, which will be contested in a T20 format in Thailand. The team is geared up to kick off their campaign against the UAE on 12th February, aiming to make their mark in the prestigious tournament.
