The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given the green light for the establishment of a cutting-edge ship repair facility in Vadinar, Gujarat. This facility will boast two floating dry docks (FDDs) measuring 300 meters each, dedicated to the repair and maintenance of large vessels.
With a natural draft of over 14 meters, the site is designed to accommodate even the largest of vessels for maintenance purposes. The facility is expected to have the capacity to repair up to 34 ships aually, marking a significant development in the maritime infrastructure of the region.
