Former NSG Commando Shot Dead in Broad Daylight, Two Youths Arrested
The Gurgaon city police made a breakthrough in the case of the murder of a 55-year-old former NSG commando, Sundar Fauji, in Kasan village. The incident, which took place on April 30, shocked the community as Sundar was shot dead in broad daylight.
Following intensive investigations, the police arrested two youths, Kartik Chauhan alias Chhota Rohan and Gulshan alias Gullu, both residents of Kasan village, in coection with the crime. Kartik, who works at a local water supply plant, confessed during questioning that the attack was carried out as vengeance for his father's murder in 2018.
It was revealed that Kartik had procured illegal firearms from Uttar Pradesh to execute the killing with the help of his accomplice. The tragic incident occurred while Sundar was sitting with locals in the village, and was shot when his wife went to call him, leaving him critically injured.
Despite attempts by bystanders to catch the attackers, Kartik and Gulshan managed to flee the scene, dropping the country-made firearms in the process. Sundar was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene and recovered the two firearms used in the attack. An FIR was registered at Sector-7 IMT Manesar police station based on the complaint filed by Sundar's wife.
While the investigation into the matter is ongoing, the Gurgaon police urge the public to stay updated with the latest developments by following them on Instagram for real-time updates.
