Enforcement Directorate Conducts Searches at Premises Linked to AAP Leader Deepak Singla
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently carrying out searches at a flat in North Goa, which is reportedly linked to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Deepak Singla and some other individuals. Sources have revealed that these searches are part of an investigation into an alleged bank fraud-related money laundering case.
Raids Conducted in Delhi and Goa The raids are being conducted simultaneously in Delhi and Goa. One particular flat in North Goa, where some members of AAP's organization team reside, is at the center of the ED's search operations.
Strong Reaction from AAP's Atishi In response to the ongoing raids, former Delhi chief minister and AAP's Goa state prabhari Atishi took to social media to voice her concerns. She stated, "With Aam Aadmi Party's popularity on the rise in Goa, the BJP's loyal foot-soldier, the ED, has also made its presence felt! This morning, ED officials initiated a raid at the residence of AAP Goa co-incharge, Deepak Singla, and the homes of several volunteers in Goa."
Atishi further added, "This is not just an attempt to intimidate our volunteers but also a blatant move to access all our organizational data for the BJP's benefit."
Deepak Singla's Political Background Singla had contested the Delhi assembly elections from the Vishwas Nagar constituency on an AAP ticket in both 2025 and 2020. In 2024, the ED had previously conducted searches at Singla's residence in coection with a money laundering investigation related to a bank fraud case.
