CPI(M) General Secretary M A Baby Encourages Party Workers to Speak Freely in Post-Election Meetings
In an effort to address the Left Democratic Front's recent electoral defeat in the Kerala Assembly elections, the CPI(M) has aounced plans to conduct meetings across the state where party workers will be given the opportunity to express their views without any hindrance. General Secretary M A Baby emphasized the need for open discussions to identify and rectify the factors contributing to the setback.
Commitment to Democratic Discourse Addressing concerns about the party's performance, Baby stated, "Comrades can open up in the meetings. When they speak, there will not be any interference. Leaders will hear them with patience." The forthcoming discussions aim to facilitate a thorough analysis of the election outcome and pave the way for necessary adjustments within the organization.
Future Leadership Decisions Amid speculation surrounding the appointment of outgoing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Baby clarified that the matter has not yet been deliberated within the party. He assured that a decision would be made at the appropriate time following due consideration.
Commitment to Political Work Meanwhile, Vijayan, in a statement after an LDF meeting, expressed determination to continue the party's political endeavors despite the electoral setback. He highlighted the LDF's commitment to rebuilding public trust and conducting a comprehensive review of the election results in consultation with party workers.
