Young Indian Talent Kiaan Shah Impresses at FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup
Over the weekend, amidst a challenging set of heats, Kiaan Shah of Rayo Racing exhibited exceptional maturity and skill, clinching a commendable 13th place in the junior category at the prestigious FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup in Selangor, Malaysia.
With a total of 60 drivers in contention, including four Indians, Kiaan faced tough competition from national champions and had to navigate through on-track incidents and technical vehicle issues. Despite these challenges, the young driver showcased his prowess with several impressive overtaking manoeuvres.
Kiaan Shah Shines Amidst Tough Competition The race ultimately saw Troy Ferguson of the United States claim the top spot, benefiting from a five-second penalty handed to Japan's Simba Motoda, who initially crossed the finish line first. Tommy Hart secured second place, with Tomasz Cichoracki following closely behind.
Kiaan's performance at the World Cup follows his recent success in the Meco FMSCI National Rotax Karting Championship in Bengaluru, where he secured back-to-back wins in Rounds 5 and 6, ultimately finishing as the ruer-up in the junior category.
Emerging Talent from Mumbai The 14-year-old driver from Mumbai has been making waves in the karting scene, having also clinched victory in Round 3 of the FMSCI National Karting Championship in Cheai earlier this year. Additionally, he achieved a commendable fourth-place finish in Round 3 of the Rotax Asia Trophy held in Thailand.
Kiaan's consistent performance and impressive racecraft have solidified his status as a rising star in the world of karting, garnering attention and acclaim for his talents on the track.
